The researchers found that people who had lost weight and kept it at a normal level for 5 years, were much more physically active than non-obese people who had lost weight and were also better able to control their food intake.

Phelan and his team evaluated 167 people with this feature and 153 with two groups of obese people to investigate the behaviors and environmental factors that could promote sustained weight loss.

The people in control groups who had participated in two separate studies of weight loss interventions, remained obese.

There were marked differences in the types of people and food they had in the pantry, weight maintainers in your pantry had a significantly fewer high-fat foods and more fruits and vegetables and low fat dairy products .
